United Biochemicals was founded as Farmis, Inc. in 1996 by former employees of American Biorganics. Operating as a supplier of laboratory biochemicals and buffers, the company worked out of a modest 5,000 square foot plant in Niagara Falls, New York.
By 2002, growth supported the construction of a new 23,000 square foot facility to house buffer manufacturing and sterile liquid formulation/filling suites. The company began manufacturing Tris HCl as its primary product at this facility.
In 2004, we outfitted a new 20,000 square foot sterile liquids manufacturing suite adjacent to our existing chemical manufacturing facility. This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to the manufacturing of antibiotic products and is completely segregated from all other production areas.
The addition gives us the ability to fully leverage our expertise in buffer manufacturing to provide customers with high-quality buffer solutions, cell culture media components and balanced salt solutions at cost-effective prices.
